Modification of power for the body is achieved using conventional ballast switching devices and by the intermittent switching on and off of every other UV lamp. The power of the facial tanners is adjusted in three stages whenever necessary. Needless to say, tanning normally at maximum UV power is also possible at any time. The Automatic Power System with conventional ballasts provides an attractively priced gateway to the world of personalised tanning. Most tanning clients receive their tanning power within a given guide period. If necessary, the length of the tanning session is varied in line with the age of the lamps and UV sensitivity of the individual client by adjusting duration in one-minute steps above or below the guide time.
